In the early morning, drive 2.30 hrs from Phuket Airport to Ban Talae Nok village to meet the host family and be welcomed into their way of life. Take a walking tour of the community with the local guide to learn about the history and lives of these villagers. Guests will see first-hand an area of the village that was destroyed by the 2004 tsunami and learn from survivors and how they have recovered. For lunch, enjoy authentic southern Thai food with the homestay family.
After lunch, participate in creating beautiful batik - a technique of hand-dyeing fabrics using designs drawn in wax. Guests can create their own design or have the ladies draw one for them, then color in the beautiful designs, and keep their creation as a souvenir.
In the late afternoon, go fishing on the beach with local fisherman and help the locals catch their dinner - it's so much fun, and guests will understand why fishermen are proud of their lifestyle. Relax on the beach and bask in the spectacular colors of an Andaman sunset.
For dinner, enjoy a barbeque dinner on the beach and feast on freshly-caught seafood, garden-fresh vegetables, and Thai curries (if weather permits, alternatively enjoy dinner with the host family).
After dinner, guests can relax with their host family by sharing stories and experiences and trying to speak Thai. The room will be filled with smiles as guests try on their traditional clothing. Spend the night in a simple but comfortable homestay.

Awaken to the quiet sound of the village life and enjoy breakfast at the homestay. Take a mangrove tour in a long-tail boat and head towards nature to explore this amazing ecosystem. Experience a fascinating journey through the tidal canals and learn how the villagers are active in protecting this vital forest. Have the chance to spot shy monkeys, colorful crabs and mudskippers among the diverse wildlife. Visit the mangrove restoration area where a shrimp farm is being rehabilitated into a Nypa Palm forest. Then, learn a new skill at the handicraft workshop. The women's group, established after the tsunami, makes beautifully handcrafted soap, using only the finest natural ingredients. After watching an informative demonstration, guests can make soap for themselves under the expert guidance of the soap ladies, and keep it as a souvenir. Afterwards, enjoy another homemade lunch with host family.
After lunch, guests can try their hand at weaving leaves of the Nypa Palm with the villagers to help make traditional roofing from this local mangrove plant. Then learn to make a local specialty desert of grilled coconut wrapped in a leaf and enjoy the delicious snack hot off the fire.
At sunset, guests have free time to relax, walk along the beach and in the village to engage in local activities. OR learn to cook local Thai food with the host family, and enjoy the results for a friendly meal. Spend the night in a simple but comfortable homestay.

Wake up early, enjoy breakfast and savor the last morning with the host family. Say goodbye to the villagers and transfer to Kuraburi Pier where guests catch a speedboat to the Koh Surin National Park, which is also home to the Moken - a traditionally nomadic sea people, who have lived in harmony with nature along Thailand's Andaman coast for thousands of years. Located 60 kilometers from the mainland, Koh Surin rises like a gem from the turquoise waters of the Andaman Sea. It is a paradise of fine white sandy beaches, thick jungle, crystal clear water, and extensive coral reefs. Guests will stop before they reach the island for a spot of snorkeling from the speedboat, so they need to have their swimming costume to hand. Upon arrival at the islands, guests check into the National Park Headquarters (NPHQ) and their tent accommodation on the soft and scenic beachfront, before enjoying a Thai-style lunch at the NPHQ.
After lunch, hop on a long-tail boat and head out for some marine exploration. Snorkeling is very popular here - there are abundant parrotfish, clownfish and brightly colored soft coral. Spend the afternoon immersed in the underwater world. Whales and manta rays are known to frequent the area, and the islands are a nesting site for three species of turtle.
Arrive back at the campsite to freshen up and relax on the beautiful beach. Enjoy dinner at the NPHQ and spend the night at Koh Surin in a tent on the beach and fall asleep to the gentle sound of the waves as they are washed up on the beautiful white sands. Mosquito nets and bedding are provided in all tents.
Overnight on Koh Surin
Enjoy breakfast at the NPHQ. Guests will start the day by visiting the island’s original inhabitants – the Moken people. Traditionally nomadic seafarers, the Moken have faced challenges of modernization and are now open to sharing their way of life with respectful visitors in order to protect their culture. While in the village, guests can support the locals by purchasing their locally made handicrafts. Return to have lunch at the NPHQ.
In the afternoon, journey to another one of Koh Surin’s five islands for more snorkeling and underwater exploration. Then watch the sunset from the tent and enjoy an evening of free time. Dinner will be served at the NPHQ. Guests will stay overnight in a tent on the beach.

On their last morning, guests can go snorkeling or explore the nature trail that adjoins the two campsites to explore the jungle and relax under the shade of the trees. After lunch, guests pack their belongings and transfer to Kuraburi by speedboat. Arrive back to Kuraburi and check into comfortable bungalow accommodation. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant in this quaint Thai town.

Enjoy breakfast at the local market with the guide, guests can enjoy the vibrant local life and delicious Thai foods at the Kuraburi morning market with their local guide and translator. Check out and transfer to Bang Deahd Pier to embark on a private long-tail boat to the resort on Koh Prathong.
