It was visibly a festive event. I was surrounded in a sea of color, and had the feeling to be on a movie set.
Thac Ba Lake - This artificial lake has an area of 23,400 ha and 1,331 islands and hills with diverse ecological environments. The water in the lake is blue and clear, and imprinted with the reflections of the surrounding ancient forest. The thousands of hills and islands feature caves such as the Hum, Cau Cuoi and Bach Xa. The Thac Ba Temple always draws visitors.

Overnight in Hanoi
Today starts the tour to Mai Chau Valley. Once out of the Red River Delta, which brims with traditional farming activity, we pass through limestone monoliths and into foothills populated by Muong people. We head straight at the main range before breaching a high and beautiful forested pass, which descends into the hidden valley of Mai Chau where we spend the night with friends in a traditional Thai stilt house in a Thai village.

Say goodbye to the family, we continue our trip to Phu Yen, a small lovely town inhabited by many ethnic villages around. Tonight, we stay in Phu Yen.

We leave Phu Yen for Than Uyen with the first stop in Mu Cang Chai where you will have an opportunity to see one of the most amazing terraced rice fields and roadside ethnic markets. Continue on stunning road to Than Uyen where will stay in a guest house.

Morning drive to Sa Pa, during your way, you will see many different ethnic villages of the Lao, Lu, Black Dao, Tien Dao, Day, Red H’mong before driving up to the highest pass in Vietnam-Hoang Lien Son. Stop over on top that called “Heaven Gate” for a wonderful view down to amazing valley and FanXiPan-the highest mount in Indochina (Roof of Vietnam). You also visit “Silver Waterfall”-the nicest one in the area before getting to Sapa. After the break, we drive to Ta Van village of the Black H'mong and Day people. The village itself is located at the bottom of picturesque Muong Hoa valley. Tonight, we stay overnight in the homestay with the locals.

After breakfast, we ride back to Sapa. Check in hotel and free day at leisure to rest and explore Sapa on own.

The markets in the Northern Vietnam are always the colorful meeting places for the hill tribes, spotlight for any Sapa Tours and of course, your unique Vietnam Tours experience. Minority people come down from the mountains to sell their products, or just for catching up on the latest news, gossip, drinking away troubles or seeking for lover. After breakfast, we drive to Vu Linh village of the Dao people by Thac Ba Lake which has an area of 23,400 ha and 1,331 islands and hills with diverse ecological environments. The water in the lake is blue and clear, and imprinted with the reflections of the surrounding ancient forest. Tonight, we will stay in the homestay with our friend’s family.
